PORT #1 LOCAL REPEATER
(444.900 Motorola Micor)

  • RECEIVER:
    1. Adjust the Micor receiver crystal to 438.200 MHZ.
    2. Inject:
      • 449.900 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 146.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Local Repeater receiver antenna connection.
    3. Connect an A.C. voltmeter to the RLC-4 Test Bus RX-1 test point.
    4. Adjust the RLC-4, RX-1 to 0.707 VRMS.
  • TRANSMITTER:
    1. Key the Micor and adjust the TX crystal to 444.900 MHZ.
    2. Key the Micor and set the power output to ~50 watts.
    3. Adjust the RLC-4, TX-1 pot for 4.2 KHZ deviation on the 444.900 MHZ output.
  • TONES:
    1. Press reset on the RLC-4 to generate a RESET in CW.
    2. Adjust the RLC-4 Tone1 pot to 1.5 KHZ deviation on the 444.900 MHZ output.

PORT #2 LINK RADIO
447.600 Motorola SM50)

  • RECEIVER:
    1. Use DTMF command #4212 to set link to Port #2.
    2. Inject:
      • 442.600 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 146.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Link Radio antenna connection.
    3. Connect an A.C. voltmeter to the RLC-4 Test Bus, RX-2 test point.
    4. Adjust the RLC-4, RX-2 to 0.707 VRMS.
  • TRANSMITTER:
    1. Inject:
      • 449.900 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 146.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Local Repeater receiver antenna connection.
    2. Connect the meter to the RLC-4 Test Bus, TX-2 test point.
    3. Adjust the RLC-4 Test Bus, TX-2 pot for 4.2 KHZ deviation on the 447.600 MHZ output.
  • TONES:
    1. Press reset on the RLC-4 to generate a RESET in CW.
    2. Adjust the RLC-4 Tone2 pot to 1.5 KHZ deviation on the 447.600 MHZ output.

PORT #3 LINK RADIO
447.500 Vertex FTL-7011)

  • RECEIVER:
    1. Use DTMF command #4214 to set link to Port #3.
    2. Inject:
      • 442.500 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 162.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Link Radio receiver antenna connection.
  • Connect an A.C. voltmeter to the RLC-4 Test Bus, RX-3 test point.
  • Adjust the RLC-4, RX-3 to 0.707 VRMS.
  • TRANSMITTER:
    1. Inject:
      • 449.900 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 146.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Local Repeater receiver antenna connection.
    2. Connect the meter to the RLC-4 Test Bus, TX-3 test point.
    3. Adjust the RLC-4 Test Bus, TX-3 pot for 4.0 KHZ deviation on the 447.500 MHZ output.
  • TONES:
    1. Press reset on the RLC-4 to generate a RESET in CW.
    2. Adjust the RLC-4 Tone3 pot to 1.5 KHZ deviation on the 447.500 MHZ output.

PORT #4 AUTOPATCH
(LINK COMM RLC-PATCH)

  • RECEIVER:
    1. On the RLC-PATCH box:
      • Remove the telephone line RJ-11 plug.
      • Connect a Transmission Test Set (TIMMS) and generate:
        1. 2 Wire
        2. 900 Ohm
        3. Terminated
        4. 1004 hz @ -16 DB
    2. Use *9 on the Local Repeater to command the Autopatch to come off-hook.
    3. Connect an A.C. voltmeter to the RLC-4 Test Bus, RX-4 test point.
    4. Adjust the RLC-4, RX-4 to 4.5 KHZ deviation on the 444.900 output.
  • TRANSMITTER:
    1. Use *9 on the Local Repeater to command the Autopatch to come off-hook
    2. Inject:
      • 449.900 MHZ, full quieting.
      • 1.0 KHZ audio at 3.5 KHZ deviation.
      • 146.2 CTCSS at 0.5 KHZ deviation.
      • Into the Local Repeater receiver antenna connection.
    3. Connect a TIMMS to the Autopatch RJ-11 jack.
    4. Adjust the RLC-4 Test Bus, TX-4 pot for 0 DB.
